Accessibility
How accessible this website and the submission system are, and how to tell us when something is not.
Accessibility
For everyone who takes part.
We want everyone to be able to submit, review, buy a ticket and follow the conference. This statement covers this website (ihsc.eu) and the submission system (submit.ihsc.eu). We aim for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA.
What we do
The pages are built to be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus, and to follow the screen down to a phone’s width; text can be enlarged in the browser.
Colours are chosen for the WCAG contrast ratios, and a status is always written in words, not shown by colour alone.
Form fields have labels, and errors are written next to the field in plain words.
The public pages and the main pages of authors, reviewers, the committee and the staff are checked automatically against WCAG 2.1 A and AA (axe-core); the last check, in November 2026, found no problems.
What is not fully accessible yet
PDF files the system makes (invoices, the abstract book, certificates and conflict-of-interest forms) are not fully tagged for screen readers. Write to us for the content in another format.
The screens in the conference rooms (timer, slides, announcements) are meant to be seen in the room; their content is also on the programme page and on the speaker’s and the organisers’ devices.
We have not yet tested the system systematically with screen readers; we fix what you tell us first.
Tell us
If something stops you, or you need a document in another format, write to info@ihsc.eu with the page’s address and what happened. We answer within five working days. At the conference, the registration desk can help with seating, access to the rooms and anything else you need.
About this statement
Prepared in November 2026 from the automated check and the organisers’ own review; it is reviewed before every conference.
